Anthony Bourdain Goes On Epic Twitter Rant Against American Airlines

Bourdain has made the Twitter rant an art form. In just a few characters and a select few words, Bourdain crafts an argument that not only cuts to the core but is also incredibly funny. Bourdain?s most famous target?was?Paula Deen a few years ago, although he did call out Travel Channel for?Cadillac ads that were aired during the last episode of his ?No Reservations.?

Bourdain joined CNN following seven years at the Travel Channel. ?Parts Unknown? will premiere sometime soon on CNN, but fans do not have to wait to enjoy some entertainment dished out by Bourdain.

Bourdain unfortunately had to suffer through a dreadful airport delay in Miami Monday?that was aggravated by lack of support by the American Airlines staff. On Twitter Bourdain wastes no time developing his rant, launching into pointed observation about the situation saying, ?Love the poor gate agent, standing mute under the 'on time' sign when clearly we are f---ed.?

One tweet with some minor profanity by Bourdain would not be considered a rant and he does not disappoint, following that tweet with several others questioning the situation. As his flight keeps getting delayed, Bourdain says, ?What does 'special situation' mean in airlines speak? Ain?t nothin special about late departure.?

Bourdain continues with jokes at his expense as well as a reference to a cult movie directed by Bruce Robinson as his American Airlines flight continues to be delayed. Bourdain says, ?But?I had timed my airport margaritas and Valium for a timely departure! #AA? followed by ?This #AA thing is gonna get all 'Withnail and I' real soon.?

Finally, Bourdain gets some resolution as to the reason why his flight was delayed, tweeting, ?Latest news is it took #AA two hours to admit a passenger dropped a wet deuce on a seat. Need to change planes.?

The Twitter rant is completed by a wonderful exchange between Andrew Zimmer, the adventurous chef who has his own show on Travel Channel, and Bourdain. Zimmer sympathizes with Bourdain?s plight, saying on Twitter ?Amazing how with all the technology it takes to fly, all it takes is some little s--t to mess it all up for everyone.? Bourdain is not afraid to get vulgar and topped things off with ?Thinking about paying it forward. Especially after that airport Panini.?
